Default SN95 Cobra Running Bad.

I just took my SN95 Cobra down the 1/4 for the first time today. I had a strong feeling that it wasn't running well and it defintely showed tonight. I was running 18 second 1/4 ET's. Now I don't claim to be even a good driver when it comes to the track but those times are horrible. Then I took it to the Dyno and I am making 156 rwhp!! I have recently put new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil and a CAI. I seafoamed the engine a week ago and it smoked like a chimney and it seemed to run a little smoother but I am still not making any power. This car did sit for almost 4 years with only occasional starting but I would think I would have remidied that by now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and I was shifting at ~5400 rpm down the track and launched at a little over 3k.

How many miles are in the car and to your knowledge... give us a list of EVERY modification the car has

My 1994 Cobra was running fine when i bought it, however I had a hard time getting it to go past 80mph. anything past like 3500 and the car fell on its face.. turned out to be some clogged 140k mile stock OEM cats...

you shouldnt dyno stock at any more then 205ish at the wheels. with an intake, TB, timing, and full exhaust you CAN make 250+whp

maybe you got some sludge in your engine? ummmm as for it smoking maybe the raidator isn't working? i'm not really sure man. but since you said it was sitting for 4yrs you might want to drain the system and add new oil, tans and axle fluid. Or if its really bad you might have to take apart the engine and clean it. Thats just what ii'm thinking.

Again, i'm not an expert so i'll need somebody else to correct anything that may be wrong. I'm only 17 lol, don't have that much experience with this kind of stuff.

It could have skiped a tooth on the timing chain. If its original theres a good chance it could of happened.

so ur sayin with GT40 heads, a healthier cam, 1.7 rockers, cobra upper/gt40 lower intake, a Cobra is only gonna dyno 10whp more than a GT?

The engine was smoking due to the SeaFoam. I would think it would have removed the sludge from the engine.

As far as mods it's basically stock so it has everything onxy says GT40 heads, a healthier cam, 1.7 rockers, cobra upper/gt40 lower intake and a CAI.
