Really most people think high octan gives you hp...thats a ricer myth. Its just a more stable fuel so it allows you to run higher compression which is what actually gets you more hp. 87 releases its power very quickly, thats what you want. 100 and whatever octane gasoline releases its power slower and more predictably, so its safer to run with high compression engines. Low octane gas doesnt like much of anything in the way of alot of timing and compression....its a total waste of money

you can run that fuel if you want but it will just cause you to loose hp

i believe 105 octane is $9 a gallon at our local track here
the 302 is designed to run on 87 octane
first day i got the stang ran 93 octane thinking it would need it. got wicked ****ty gas mileage so i tried 89 still pretty crappy mileage finaly got some 87 and now i average 17+ mpg city and thats with "hammering" it every now and then
