I've had the car in a total of four times--three of which to fix their error. The last time, they were so rude to me that I was worried how they treated my car. I bet it just needs the pinion nut torqued correctly, but I don't trust them to touch my car.

If you paid by credit card dispute the charge. If not, contact the BBB and file in small claims court. Good luck!

^^ Thats really the only way.... I doubt that they will give you your money back so court would be the only option... is it worth it? I would just take the loss and go to another shop and have everything adjusted...

+1, just take it as a lesson learned, if you really want to get the shops attention, ask who the owner
is and write him a letter personally. Tell them you are unhappy, and you wiil never use their shop again
and you will make sure EVERY person you talk to knows not to use their shop.
Letters have a funny way of getting people's attention. Be nice, be calm and tell them you and eveyone
you can tell will not use their service ever again.

You would have a better case in small claims court if you had your rear diff inspected & repaired by another shop that can itemize all the work. If the "reputable" shop finds improper shimming or anything; you have a witness & a written inspection to show the judge. Yeah.... you'll have to spend money to get your money back.....
