haha man,
right now im feeling some mild hatred.
i live in canada, and stuff here is slightly higher priced,
because of our lower dollar value compared to you guys.
so i cant do all that with 7200
but it wouldnt be that much out of my reach

i have researched that setup alot. i know you can find 11's with that setup. save a little more to go with your 7k. at least the motor part for starters. then build your drive train, then suspension.

RE: I have $7000, what should I do?
get a 408 stroker shortblock for around $4000
some AFR heads $1500
351 swap headers $250
351 oil pan $200
351 lower intake$250
high volume oil pump $85
camshaft $300
lifters $100
pushrods $50
roller rockers$300
all that for around $7535
this combo will put you in the low-mid 10's on motor.

man i think your underestimating how hard it is to get into the 10's
especially considering you didnt list any kind of frame work in that combo.
i would just roast my tires all day with that much power and no way of getting it to the ground.

atta boy..lol, always look at the big picture! its never all about motor, if you have 10k, 3 should go somewhere besides the motor if you want good times.

RE: I have $7000, what should I do?
have subframe connectors welded in $250
some drag springs $400
shocks/struts $250
and some control arms$200
and a set of 10x28 slicks and light rims for $600
okay with everything here I exceeded your budget, but it would be a killer street machine.
but since you are only aiming for a 12.5et
get a forged 331 stroker$3000
AFR heads$1500
a good intake$700
and a good custom cam$300
wet nitrous kit $550
with a 75 shot you are there,
$8200
