ok so i tried spinning the fan and it doesnt spin freely...it barely moves and when it does move it moves the belt and spins other pullies with it so im guessin thats not spinning freely and i guess my fan clutch is good...the fan is very loud when i rev..sounds liek a shoprite truck lol....... there is plenty of clearance so its not touching anything...any ideas?
It's bad! Replace the fan clutch.

Or it could just be the stock fan..... the stock fans on 5.0's are very loud.

from what others have said, it's NOT supposed to spin freely. If it did, then it'd be a bad fan clutch

tell'n you it's the fan clutch, thats what they sound like when they go bad.

mine got super quite after i replaced it. Nite and day now, thought I had
an exhaust or combustion leak the longest time.

if the pulleys spin when you spin the fan by the blades, then your fan clutch is seized.
it should be able to spin without spinning the pulleys, but it should take some effort to spin it.

Do you have a fan clutch or a flex fan? If a flex fan there is no clutch and your description is normal. If you have a fan clutch set-up, then it's bad.
