Default Some kind of lean issue

Hey guys sry i have not been around to help much. but i have a lean issue. i put my 24's in and its still lean. i know its lean because the plugs are not gray they are more white and very clean, they look like they are almost new. but there is 1k+miles on them, the car idles fine, and runs okish. there is no vac leak, the only codes i have are egr not closing and the smog pump **** because its not there. im just a lil stumped on this one. thanks

Did you verify it with a KOER self-test?....suggest to do....you could also monitor O2's output voltage to check if they stay below .5vdc during the test or @idle.

Welcome back TIMES!

I have the same problem, and was thinking it may have something to do with the timing. I also dont have the smog crap.

Whats your vacuum at? I wouldn't rule out a vacuum leak. I have a fluke meter if you want to test the voltage of your o2's. All turning the fuel pressure up might help. My plugs look the same as yours and they have 5k on them. My car runs rich too, it dumps black smoke at WOT.

I have a fluke at work but if i need one ill let you know. FP is 39, maf is pro-m 80mm for 24's, injectors are ford motorsport. i dont hear any detonation, but that does not mean its not there. would it do this if the egr will not close? also the car idles 900 fine and vac is like 13hg. thanks guys

Tim you should have about 18" of vacuum @ idle. Do you have a big cam? If the egr wasn't closing, you would have a rough idle and that would cause low vacuum. I thought you yook the egr off?

Ok so you're basing this alleged problem soley on the condition of the plugs? Made any recent changes to create the "problem"?

your fuel pressure is WAY too low. My base pressure is 43psi stock (dont ask me why) and i'm running lean on my setup... bump your pressure up to around 43 or 44 psi and see how it runs.... a wideband o2 is your friend!

*edit* why the hell is your vac so low???!? shouldnt it be closer to 20 in.Hg
