Default Which heads?

I am new to mustangs and looking to buy a nice set of aluminum heads because I know whatever I decide to change on my block the heads will be needed, so they are an important investment. I have heard from numberous friends that the twisted edge heads are the best to buy. But after looking on here for a little while, I have noticed people talking about AFR's? I dont know anything about them and would like to hear peoples experiences or opinions with either of the two.

AFR;s cost about 400 more than twisted wedge and from my research flow a little bit less.
but some guys seem to really like them
personally id go with the twisted wedge cuz they are nicer on the wallet and i think they should do the trick just as good.
i know when i get enough cash for a set of aluminum heads im going twisted wedge.
ive heard nothing but good things.

I used maxed out wedges on a 306, custom grind cam, 11:1 CR if I remember and made 592 spinning it to 7200 or so on the dyno 10 years ago. Mind you the head were max ported. TFS does make a great product and I wouldn't hesitate using them anytime. I used them exlusively on my big blocks and made 900hp N/A until a bunch of other companies started making big ford heads.

Well it seems like arf 185s seem to give the most airflow which I will need later on.

That chart is VERY nice!!! I've been doing ALOT or research lately for heads. It is nice to see everything in one chart.

Does it seem the Over stock percentage is low for the Power Head? If you look at the Power Head #'s compared to the 40X's, it seems the Power Head #'s are low.
