Broke key in ignition

so my key decided to break off in my ignition today. anyone have any tricks how to get the piece out of it?

How much is sticking out? Can you use a small pair of needle nose pliers to grab the broken piece or a pick?

locksmiths have a tool that can drill into the key and pull it out... perhaps you would be best doing that... afterall a new ignition cylinder is a b!tch to change...

Only if the switch won't turn into the on position. Otherwise, it's a 30 min job at best.

well none is sticking out, but it does turn into the on position ect. im gonna try to do it myself tonight after work, but if not im gonna bring it to a locksmith.

I used a set of Hemostatic Forceps and was able to just barely grab the end of the key, and pull it out. then I took it to a key-maker and they were able to make a key from it... amazingly!!!
