pulling trans, have ???
alright so i am ready to pull my t5 and get a new one. got it up on jack stands, pulled the shifter, got under the car and ran into my first problem. whien i did my last fox, it didnt have tail pipes. well on this coupe, i had tail pipes put on, so my exhaust has, long tube headers, an h pipe two flows and tail pipes all welded together. looks like this whole assy is in the way, but i am not sure how to get it out from under the car, with the tail pipes running over the rear axle. if i had it up on a lift it wouldnt be a big deal, but being only on jack stands (at front only), it look like a problem. anyone have any suggestions ? thanks.

Is the exhaust welded together from headers to tailpipes? All I had to do was remove the H pipe and let the tails hang there. you might have to take the bell housing off with the long tube headers im not sure on that one.

yea, it welded from headers back, so it is like one piece, for both sides.

hmm, you gotta sawz-all?? lol not sure then, you might be able to disconnect it from the headers, pull the rest off the hangers and drop it far enough out of the way, other than that dunno. I dont know how long youve been working on it, but i would of cut the sh*% by now, worry about welding it back together later once its driving again

If it welded all the way back I would cut it off and put in a slip joint (so you can just clamp it back). Since the tranny has to come down all the cross member crap has to come out and the h-pipe is attacehd to a hanger that sets between the tranny and mount. Have fun!
