Default Filter in Side?

I'm am just wondering if it is better to have the filter into the side hole of the engine compartment, j/w because on my cardomain sight i have gotten numerous signs in my guestbook telling me it is better, and right now i am just sucking in hot air..

This true?

That's so much cleaner without the intake tube the EFI's have. Def like your setup Killer. In answer to the original question; yes that's correct, if youre filter is in the engine bay it's getting hot air, relocate it to the fenderwell.

If you have your filter in the engine compartment you can get a sheild which would go on the radiator fan side of the filter to prevent sucking in air directly off the radiator.

you just had to show off didn't you Killer! LOL
nice looking setup BTW but the silicon blue hoses would look good with all the other blue you got showing. they won't make it go any faster though! ha, ha, ha,

that's not what the shield is for..it's to keep the air wash on the filter from the fan...stick it in the fender....that's where the fresh air is

Depends on if you wanna shell out the money. You can get fenderwell ones or just go back to stock and get a nice stock type replacement filter like a K&N

I think ill just keep it like it is. Probably talking 1-2 hp so not worth the time right now. I was wondering, do they make a ram air for the 94 5.0? I saw the ram air for the mustangs in the Summit catalog and sounded pretty good. But they are saying it adds 15 hp...doubt it.
