i agree with the painless wiring system. Thats your best bet. Re-wire the whole thing. Then get you some primer and primer it grey. Then slap some draglites on it with some skinnies up front and slicks out back and get a remanufactured engine from Advanced Auto and put a small cam in it, a Edelbroke RPM intake, Demon 600carb, Some shotie headers and off road H pipe and dumps on it and mybe a 4.10 gear and have at it. That can all be done for under $3500 right there if you know how to will and deal. Thats pretty much a good set up for about 13.5's or so if you know how to drive it. Oh and do a T5 swap with a Centerforce or King Cobra clutch.

Go with manual rack/pinionBTW.

i dont mean to be a dick. but i'm dying to ask this.

how does it feel paying 700 dollars to let a guy stick it in your butt??

heres where you need to start. wiring. get diagrams. get a fuse box. rewire everything. that will probably be a summer long project in itself. see if painless offers model specific harnesses. i dont think they do but i'm sure they offer something that will help.

50resto.com will be a big aid to you. this is a big project to over take. I love working on cars, and personally, i wouldnt want to be anywhere near that cluster****. it looks like the previous owner really screwed some **** up. good luck man
