kelley bluebook..... if it's a hatch double it.
if it's a notch , triple it
for the real world value of a cra, go to autotrader.com and do a search from your zip code to about 300-500 miles out.
it will give the avg price , + hi and lo
then narrow your search from there w/ your price criteria. you should be able to find a nice clean hatchback , 5.0 5-speed for $5000 w/ only about 100k on it, not needing anything. notch...maybe more like $7000

Last year I paid $6000 for an '84. WTF, it was a turnkey 10.80 racecar tthat I went thru the engine on anyway and I'm now doing the chassis work.
The engine/drivetrain that it came with you couldn't build for $8000.
there are some deals out there but these Foxes abr getting old.
Last time I was at the wreckers, there were 6 Mustangs. Only one was a fox and there was nothing left.....

I paid 4,000 for my car with good paint everywhere but the hood and bumper covers. No rust, perfect mechanical condition except for my reverse syncro starting to go.

Yeah, it definitely was...It does need new front and back bumper covers, and a new hood...so all of that, shipping, and spray is going to be at least 1200 bucks I'm thinking, but eh. I didn't buy it expecting to never throw money at it. There are some defects in the interior, like the ashtray cover is missing, and the speaker grilles are gone, but I don't really care about that stuff, all I care about is hauling ***.
