Default C4 Trans

I just got a C4 off of one of my friends and it was running good. I put the trans in my car and put trans fluid in it. Start the car and it starts shooting trans fluid out of a hole on the trans case, right next to the trans pan. if anybody knows whats going on please hellp me.

Might need a little more info, which side of the trans? Can you see the spot it is coming out, if so describe it, is it a threaded hole?

on a C-4 there are two cooler lines... If you are not running a cooler then you should probably think about getting one, but for the mean need to block the hole off.... The hole should be on the passenger side of the trans and should be just above but towards the back of the transpan, but in the case. There is another one just above and to the rear of this hole and that should be the return line for the cooler. If he filled the trans then the dipstick is in it....

Normally I don't like it when people bump old threads but I have a question.

Can I use a c4 transmission out of a '65 or '66 mustang for my car?
