Careful, you might hurt Paul Walker's feelings.

Honestly, though, not only is this The Fast and The Furious car movie trend crappy for people who enjoy working on REAL cars, but it's a debacle in the movie community, too.

I know those rice rockets are many things, but just like our Mustangs, they can be made fast. And under 3 G's...yea sure why not? Start with a GSR motor (180+ ponies) and slap on a high boost turbocharger. You're looking at WAAAY over 300 ponies with a ridiculous amount of boost. Now...reliability and logevity of the motor is at stake with this...but it can be done.

Anything you do to a 4 cylinder is going to work 3 times better on a V-8...so why not just start off ahead and go with it, spend the same money....get 3 times the results....seems logical to me....guess some people are just thick headed.

And one more thing...its not really the HP that hurts the imports...its their torque. With such a small displacement engine its hard for them to produce torque at low rpms.

its not impossible actually take the sr20det for example i relise its a diff motor completely but IF he did a jdm swap and then put 3k into the motor he could EASILY be pushing 300....An sr20det can push 400 with stock internals with a simple change of injectors top feed fuel rail, a better turbo, BOV, arp head studs, steel headgasket, rocker arm stoppers and a stand alone proper tuning and u can get 320 believe me thats what my buddy is putting down in his 510....Integra if he did a jdm swap like the b16 and turboed it for 3k he could break 300.. Hell even on a ca18det (1.8l) which is what im gunna run u put sr20det turbo, gti-r injectors, a stand alone and some good tuning and u can break the 250h.p mark

But my resoning is....in a Integra...you have to do a whole damn motor swap just to break 300? I say, get some headers, upper and lower intake. Some #24's, 70MM throttle body, etc and easily get to 300 at the rear tires with some other little things here and there. And if you want to easily go past 300 get some Vic Jr heads and some nitrous and you'll be eating most cars out there easily and that should put you past 450 with a 100 shot. I mean, with a 5.0 mustang, you can just spend all your money in your suspension and easily run in the low 13's high 12's. I would absoblutely love to see a ricer run 12's with just suspension mods and some tires. Then if you want to spend a little more cash, you can get a $3,500 ATI Pro Charger, a D1SC specifically and kill off low low 12's and high 11's with a clutch and some slicks on a completely stock engine and maybe some gears. Do that in a Civic or Integra and i will sell my Mustang, buy a 94 Civic Hatch, pop off the hub caps,to get the "JDM" look and drive it around permanatly with a big *** "Powered by Honda" sticker on the windshield with a set of speakers in my hatch that probly displace more than my engine does.

Heres some food for thought....Kenne Bell makes a Super Charger for Mustangs that displaces 2.2liters i believe. lol Thats gonna **** your average 1.6liter honda driver off.

no you dont have to do a motor swap i just used the b16 as an example the b18 (integra motor) can easily break 300 especially with 3,000
