Any tricks to lubricating the accelerator pedal cable? My pedal seems to stick at the top of the push down. Hopefully someone has experienced this phenom on this forum.
^^^^Yah take off ur air intake when take the cable off and look inside right where the throttle blade rests at "idle position" there is probably a ridge of carbon built up there
Its one of two things the throttle body is gummed up or your throttle cable is shot. I just replaced my throttle a week ago and it made a world of a difference. Mine was messed up real bad. I know it wasnt my tb bc I cleaned and polished my edelbrock 70mm and its as smooth as silk.
Cable is fine. Opened TB and low and behold a carbon ring around where the butterfly swings. A little carb and choke cleaner removed it effortlessly. Accelerator back to normal. Thanks everyone for you contribs. [sm=bounceybounce.gif]
