Hey all,

the passenger side door on my 91 GT is stuck locked. I took a pair of plyers to the little rod that sticks out the top of the door panel and ended up ripping the entire rod out. There is definately no trivial way to remove the door panel without being able to open the door.....

I'm pretty sure I will have to cut into the door panel to get the door unlocked....

Do you guys know where I can buy a new locking mechanism (I'm assuming its not repairable) for the door. I would hate to have to replace the entire door.

you tried slim jim'ing it open before cutting a hole in the door?

u try using the key to unlock it from the outside?

The mechanisms have a Pop lock on it. All you have to do is open the door from the inside. It should just pop open then take the trim off and get a new door lock actuator. Thats an easy fix. unfortunately our cars are notorious for these going bad.
