edelbrock valve covers question?

Default edelbrock valve covers question?

I bought a set of edelbrock valve covers a while back and only had a oil plug hole on the top of each. I bought two caps and put them in.. My question is that a bad idea? do i need a breather? or can it be completely sealed? thanks
