Sean I have a 94 and I had an H-pipe now x- pipe. I did not notice a diference at all. BBk states that x-pipe gives you more power but it is probably minimal and I did not feel it. To me they are the same. the big diference is if you go with an offroad(no cats), then you will see a lot more power. The drawback is that you have to swap it when emision time comes. Also you will smell the fumes of the exhaust and it is not an atractive smell specially in traffic. your best bet if you have a daily driver is to go with an after market x or h pipe with high flow cats. That will give you power and no smell. If you dont drive your car everyday then go with offroad. Offroad is cheaper and it will sound better as well. As far as which is better I would say bout the same, only H-pipes are a bit cheaper.

The difference is where the power is, the X gives you better numbers but the power is a little higher up, the H has more low end. Also if you searched then you didn't do a very good job cause there are far too many threads on this subject. Look through the old posts in the pipes, boost, and juice section and you'll get a lot more feedback than I can give you right now.

There's a great website focused totally on exhaust systems. They even have clips of what each type of muffler/pipe combo sounds like. Its www.MustangExhaust.com. Check it out.
