Pulling the tranny would be easier then pulling the motor!!

All you have ot do is drop the tranny remove clutch and flywheel then remove the seal. You can remove it by putting 2 screws into it then using a prybar pull it out. To reinstall a new one place the old one over the new one once you have it on the crank then lightly tap around it with a hammer until it seats. Besure to clean the mounting surface before you install the new one. Oil or assembly lube should be put on the seal and crank when you install the new one. Then wipe off excess and check for a leaks a day later. Also you do NOT have to drain the oil.

do the clutch while your at it.

pull the tranny, and do the clutch, rear main, and resurface the flywheel.

then you'll be good for a few years.

What does resurfacing the flywheel do?

What does resurfacing the flywheel do?
Pretty much the same as doing a rotor. Puts a new finish on the flywheel. They tend to have alot of heat cracks and hot spots if they have been driven hard. The clutch disk will have a nice smooth, even surface to contact with.
