Default Intake manifold question

so a ported typhoon will flow just like an edelbrock performer?

What about the gt and cobra intakes ported, are those comprable flows?

What about spacers, are they any good? can a stock hood close over an spaced intake?

I've got a gt40 intake with a spacer, it does not fit with the stock hood. I had to put 5 washers on the hood arms to allow the hood to close. The hood sits funny obvioulsy..........just waiting for a cowl hood.
