RE: 5.0 to 351W block
I was referring to my 88 hatch. right now the right lower corner of the intake is just short of hitting the bottom of the hood. it did hit it some before I put the solid motor mounts in, cause it left a scuff mark on this corner of the intake, so I don't see how he could get a taller deck 351 under a stock 88 hood without cutting something for clearance or lowering the engine in the frame some.

Well theres an 86 capri here that has a 460 in it with stock hood and the whole 9 yards.
I too called bull ****ter until he popped the hood and then my jaw hit the floor.
Its been cut now to accomodate the tunnel ram and dual 450's but in stock "CARBED" form it fit.
I may be wrong about the EFI im not an EFI guru as most know.

We know Killer, that's why some of us are out here to keep you honest! LOL
I didn't say it couldn't be made to fit, I was trying to save that without any changes, it probably wouldn't fit without a cowl hood for clearance. Bottom line, it all depends on what car he's putting it in now don't it?
