Im getting curious about them. Can somebody give me the 411? price, installation difficulty, numbers, drivability, etc...

price is determined by your tools and abilities and a little luck. ease of install is the same. you can get used turbos out of a lot of cars for cheap. if you can weld and bend tubes it will be really cheap to make. if you can weld but not bend tubes, you can buy prebent tubes and just cut and weld as needed.

depending on where you live you could have smog issues when it comes time to register again. home built turbo kits don't have that carb EO #

should not be too hard to setup a turbo, just make sure it gets well oiled. The hardest part will be the tubing off the exhaust manifold and the intake tubing. see if you can find an intercooler too.
