ok i got codes 31 67 81 82 85 and 84 the only one that worries me is the MAP vacuum too low. arg.
i'm guessing your smog stuff is deleted?

81=MAP sensor vacuum was not greater than 2 in-Hg (7 kPa) during normal vehicle operation. possible faulty MAP sensor. maybe a big vacuum leak. is the vac line attached to it and the intake? the Map sensors output is measured in frequency, you could test this with an oscilloscope (who actually has one of those?) or at least make sure it is getting voltage

sounds like your timing chain jumped a tooth.
I had a crown vic that would start and run only if I held down the gas, but it would only rev to 1200 mabye, when I lifted the gas it died.

the thing is though if its doing this, and i shut the car off, cruise with the ignition off for 20 seconds or so, and turn it back on it will run great and pull hard for about 15 seconds and start doig it again. if i test the MAP wat voltages should i be looking for. i dont have a heater so all the vacuum lines are unhooked and removed for that. no pollutioni equipment and the lines are gone for all that, theEGR valve is stil there just unhooked. i was thinking it was a vacuum leak aswell so i might rip off my upper and lower intakes and reseal them. anyone have any ideas.

also, the 67 is related to the gear switch on your tranny. autos and manuals both have switches to "tell" the ecm if it is in gear or neutral. possibly its not hooked up, not installed, or faulty
