Crashed 1995 Mustang GT won't start
Hi all, just bought a 1995 Mustang GT 5.0 5spd that was hit good in the frontend . I'm using it for parts for 2 other Mustangs we are building, but want to confirm engine condition prior to removal. So here's the problem, engine will crank but won't start. I checked for spark and it's good, all fuses are also good (2 were blown). wire harness had some damage on right side of the core support (pinched) 3 wires may have shorted to ground. The fuel pump will not run, I have tested the pump by powering it up manualy and it works fine. I also checked the fuel pump cutoff inside the trunk. We tried starting it with the pump running, but nothing. We swaped ECU's from our other running car, but still no luck. We must be missing something here, any ideas ??? Thanks Jim

There is a little switch on my 88 behind the coverings in the hatchbehind the drivers side tail light, you take the plastic peice off and you will find a black box with a white switch on top of it push that white switch in to get the fuel pump working again, thats a safty measure frmo ford I am sure sn 95's are the same

Nevermind didnt read that last part..........Damn I am not sure what to check from here on in, did you check the relay, or check the there is fuel coming? Maybe one of the lines were pinched as well?

When my brother wrecked his Focus they airbags went off. He started the car and moved it a few feet int eh driveway (once we got it towed back). When he killed it and try to start it again it wouldnt fire up. It was because the fuel pump was switched off. Find the fuel pump switch and reset it and it should work. Also check electrical connections. A bad ground could also be the problem.

Good fuel pressure at the intake when the pump is hot wired, I swapped the relays in the fuse box, still no start. It seems the injectors aren't firing, what is the black electrical box unit mounted on the front right side, has relays inside ? is this the injector control ? Thanks Jim
