Towing an '86 Convertible

Towing an '86 Convertible
I'm moving and want to tow my '86 convertible, which is an automatic, behind a Uhual. They have two options:
1) Tow Dolly - Only the front two wheels are off the ground
2) Auto Transport Trailer: All wheels off ground
The Uhaul.com site states that, if towing this car, I may have to disconnect the drive shaft at the rear axle. Is this really necessary? Can I just put the car in Neutral? Anybody have some insight on this?

RE: Towing an '86 Convertible
Yes, you'll want to stop the internals from spinning as you're not running the motor, which in turn isn't spinning the pump and circulating the fluid. removing the driveshaft is the way to do it. That or you can put the rear wheels on the dolly and use a steering wheel lock. You can't just put it in neutral.

yep gotta remove the drive shaft cause it will overheat! but then u gotta plug it up so it doesnt get trash in the tranny and leak fluid everywhere go to the junk yard and buy a toke off an aod car remove the driveshaft and put it in there and wire it up so it doesnt fall out!
