if they do give you enough to buy another stang i would still buy the car back and have an extra engine and trans for a very low price..

well, you see, the bill of sale is where the problem is! I gave $3,000 for the car and traded my other '87 5.0 LX for it too. so I gave 3,000 and he gave me 3,000 for my old car and I bought the one i have from him for basically $6,000.

so, I dont have proof of the 6,000 I spent on the car. however, I'd be satisfied if i got the insurance check for $4-4,500 or so... bought my car back for a few houndred or so and got another one for $4,000 and transfered all of my mods over to the new one... I think it's possible and I would end up better with 2 5.0's.

In reality, I just want what I had a few days ago... a near mint '90 5.0
and this is what I'd have to do to regain my beautiful car.

get my drift?

My friend bought a 93 GT and put nearly $4000 into the motor since the motor was trashed. He drove it for 45 minutes and a dumbass t-boned him totaling the car. He still had all the recepts. He ended up getting $7000 from the insurance company. Dont know how you'll fare though. Good luck.

what started out to be a 2800 dollar check ended up getting wrote for 15,800 (1996 lincoln )

you shouldn't have anything to worry about... the way i had it explained to me was that the company uses a computer program (basically the internet) to see how much your car has been selling for around your city/county... in my case, mustangs were up in price and holding there value, so they gave me a nice check. but i like the idea of asking to see the doctor again and talking to your lawyer... sneaky as hell
