I have 4500kms on my rebuilt 308 with afr 185 heads rpm2 intake, the only coolant I use is the prestone premixed coolant.
and a bottle of redline watter wetter.
what thermostat are you using?
the hottest it gets here is 30-35 degrees celcius

I would go with the fan... as far as the rad cap, if it can handle the presure i would go for it, but only you know your car... my rad can handle the presure and it only helps prevent boil over....

Griffin rads are good.... the cap DOES NOT decrease tempature... it just prevents boil over at a higher temp.... remember science class??? Water boils at higher temp under presure.... ok... i liked science... maybe you didnt... nevertheless, the add'l presure prevents boilover at higher temps... thus, if your engine runs hotter than normal, you wont boilover.... as i said above... my engine runs at 190-200F... it should not be a problem for you either... if you dont boilover....
