Default smog pump

so i was driving down the road and i was on a 2.5 hour tip and like 15 minutes from where i was trying to go and then i hear a squeeking noise and then pop and all of a sudden my steering is really hard and my temperature shoots up from the middle of the normal mark to the very top of it.
i pulled off the street and turns out my belt broke. so i called up a friend and got him to bring me a new belt. when we put it on there we see smoke and realize the smog pump locked up on us. so we drove back to the parts store and bought a new one and put on the new belt and headed off. what i realized is that i don't even use the smog pump with my headers anyways . wasted like 2 hours tryign to figure out what was wrong and stuff to find out i don't use it.

does anyone know if their is a belt that is made to bypass the smog pump and the AC?

Yup, I plan on getting the 70" belt when I go to race, and then put the other belt back on when I am not.
