Wow did I ever feel like a retard today. I ran outta gas going for a leasurly cruise to the next city about 30 miles away.

The thing is, I only got about 270km's(167miles) out of a full tank and at least half those k's were highway.

Now I've had a fox before and I swore i got at least 350km's(220miles) a tank with the majority of it on highway. PLUS, my gas guage is kinda screwed since it said I had 1/4 tank left.

I was wondering why that top quarter of the tank lasted so long and why the needle was a mile higher than the full mark.

First question is, doesn't this seem like an afully low amount of k's per tank? is there anything I should check/do to see why this is so crappy?

Also, has anyone had this problem with their gas guage before? and how big of a job is it to fix this annoyance.

iget 350 miles per tank of gas u gotta problem if ur stock unless ur driving crazy

you must be on the highway alot cause i just get like 250 at most

is your pony stock? what year fox is it?

91 gt vert got off road hpipe,flows bumped timing,removed smog pump t-5 conversion i got stock 2.73:1 rear, and a k+n

well, gonna get the usual tune up shiza and see if that helps. I have a feeling the plugs are mighty old.

have u bumped ur timing it will increase ur gas mileage and will reduce engine operating temps but u have to reun midgrade or premuim

mine does the same thing i go about 60 miles before it budges!
