Default eaton M112

so i was at school today, and the ford teacher says hey jeremie come here. he takes me out to his f150, which has a 5.0 in it cause its a 91 i think. anyways. he goes check this out. pops the hood, and in the place of the OEM upper intake, theres a eaton M90 off a a GTP or a similar GM. he didnt have a pulley yet, but it still had the s/c sound. so i started thinking.

if he can mount a m90 to a stock 5.0 lower intake, why cant i mount an m112 to a holley lower intake? for those of you who dont know, an m112 is what comes on a 03-04 cobra, and Lightnings.

his son does fabrication work, and fabd up a spacer to mount the blower to the intake. and then using his ford knowledge, and after reading up on the m90, he fabd the blower to work. so now all he needs is a pulley, which will go on tonight.

i think i found my next project, what do you guys think?

+ = ???

I think that this is the coolest f****** idea ever posted here. I am buying a milling machine soon and I'm going to try to do this.

Awesome post!

the guy said he was thinking about mass producing kits to mount m90s.

and by the way, eatons are named by how much air they compress. a m90 compresses 90 cubic inches of air. an m112 does 112 cubic inches..thats like the size of a honda engine!!

Thats pretty sweet, i thought about doing that a long time ago when i found out how cheap the Eaton blowers were, but could never find a mounting piece to work with a 5.0, definitely a custom job worth doing if you have the know how...

this is super cool and all but I have to ask how it had the "supercharger sound" with no pulley... no pulley means no supercharger.

yeah it had the air sucking sound. it still sounded mean with no pulley on it. i guess i should say it had the super sucker sound, instead of the super charger sound.
