Default Headers

Hey guys-

what are the absolute best set of shortie headers out there for around $300-350? And how hard are equal-length headers to install? And I think I want to get ceramic coating unless someone has a better idea.

I've been thinking of Ford Racing ceramic, but MACs are cheap on ebay (ceramic) and I'm sure I could find a set of BBK out there for around the same. One think though is that I've heard BBK put out lower numbers than some other brands. What do ya'll think?

Thanks guys.

Yeah Macs have no connections between the flanges.

I have BBK ceramic equal length shorties. Very happy w/ them. They came w/ bolts, gaskets and studs for the h-pipe connection as well. Complete kit.

You'll get a lot of different comments on the subject though. G/L w/ your choice.

Id pick BBK unequal , ceramic coaed, the equals were a bit of a pain , and now they tap on my strut tower on the passenger side.

I recommend FMS or BBK unequal shorties. Either get Ceramic or buy the regulars and send them to JETHOT to get coated

I'm not sure, but i dont think so. I got my headers for free from a friend and I think jethot quoted me $250 if i wanted to have em done, and i think thats about how much ceramics are isnt it? I guess JETHOT is supposed to be better than ceramic tho. But no i dont think it would be cheaper to buy regular and have them jethot coated. I just mentioned it as another option, but again it would depend on the deals u could get.

I'm sure ceramic is fine. Ceramic headers are cheaper than regular headers + JetHot, and less BS too. If i was going to buy some I'd just get the ceramic to save time and money.
