Bought a black interior last weekend, went to install it over this weekend. First off the wiring had been fixed/chopped and spliced so many times its a surprise the car ran. Well i figured its all good since it worked. well i ripped the old dash out and installed the black one. Well yesteraday once the car was in the car would start and stuff worked. Today when i went to drive it after i finished installing the seats console etc, well the wires start smoking and sparking when i go to crank the motor over. The wires were burnt lookig beofre lots are as well as the connectors. The fun part is the car was swapped from a 4 banger auto to a 5.0 five speed. What wiring harness would i be looking for as well as who sells them new/used. Honestly i would prefer a new one so i know its not butchered but im sure its pricy that way. Let me know what you guys think. if its too pricy keep your eyes peeled for a for sale post. i hate electrical problems.
