I was wondering what is the biggest tire i can get on my 86 notchback mustang without tubbing it i was told a 26/10.50 i was wondeirng what kinda backspacing and what size rim i would need

a 6 or 6.5 back space..you should at least flip the quad shocks for a lil more clearance

I believe the Biggest tire and wheel for the fox body Mustang in the rear with out tubing it is the 315/35 on a 17x10.5. Sorry I dont know the back spaceing. With that tire and wheel on the back u will have 12inches of tire contact with the road. This is what I have on the back of my 88 Gt.

you will need a big @ss hammer to get those tires under it

I did use a hammer in a few spots, but it really wasnt necessary, I only did it for piece of mind. What ever the back spacing is on the deep dish bullits and a 1/2 inch wheel spacer and they will fit. I hope to have some pics posted this week.
