Haha! I can't beleive it. I just told myself to quit before I do any more damage.

I drive my stang on the weekends mostly. Mid week I got in and noticed that it smelled sweet. I looked around, felt the upolstery and figured my head was playing tricks on me. Got into it on Friday and it still smelled. Looked around but found nothing. We'll yersterday while changing a fuel filter I open the trunk. OH MY GOD! I had a gallon of milk sitting in there for a week and it was now the equivilant of cottage cheese all over the trunk! I tore all the carpet out and went to the car wash. I cleaned the metal with disinfectent and power washed the carpet. The floor carpet and insulation still smell. The side covers are OK. I'm gonna soak the carpet in vinigar and see it that helps. If not I'll just replace it. Haha! what a mess. Note to self: If you smell something find out what it is! ASAP.

Now after that I was cleaning some electrical connections and after spraying a couple and getting some on my hands I'm telling myself this stuff feels different. I look at the can and it is Belt Dressing (You should of heard the swearing after that!). Same color, brand and size can. I found the contact cleaner and cleaned up my mess and called it a day!

And I still have my idle issue....

Have a good laugh! Might make you feel better if you baning you head against a wall with idle issues...
