v8 swap complete :-)

RE: v8 swap complete :-)
The wiring was actually one of the easier parts. All you have to do is switch and plug it all up. The hardest part about that is getting the computer plug in/out of the firewall.
As far as my responses to the other posts...
-it is a mass flow
-its not completely stock, it has a full exhaust (BBK Longtubes, High-flow Mid-pipes, flowmaster)
-the wiring is the exact same set up, just different plugs in the engine bay. You may have a few left over.
Its raining right now, so there is still a delay on the pictures.
Also, the power steering pump leaks....does anyone have one lying around? Need one within in the next 20 days (When I get my license )

im interested in doing the swap are theyre any guides walkthroughs, anything? that you used? and did the total cost of the conversions car + parts turn out to be less than a factory 5.0?

Getting the engine out...and putting the new one in is easy...really easy. Although the hard part is connecting everything, and then finding out what other parts you need in order for it to run. Although you won't run into that problem if you don't go in head first ( I did)
Here is a rough list of all the parts we needed
-Clutch
-Flywheel
-Clutch Cable/Quadrant
-T-5 Transmission (4 cylinders work as well)
-Wiring Harness
-5.0 Computer
-Mass Air sensor...measurement not sure what it is, it is attached to the firewall next to the vacuum hoses
-Motor Mounts
-Fuel lines (ALL STEEL)
-Rear end
-Driveshaft
-Springs
I'll add more if I can think of anything else.
The swap is a ton of fun, even when something doesn't fit right...

Salvage yards for little stuff here and there.
Although one of the things I did know going into it was I would need a lot of parts. So I looked and looked, and then decided to buy a wrecked 5.0 with a respectable engine. So it already had all of the works to it. I believe this engine came from a crown vic. Which is good really, it has the same amount of hp but more torque.

At least, the intake manifold is off of the crown vic.
