Which Supercharger is better?
I have a 95 GT and i'm looking in to boring it over and putting a roller rocker cam in it and then i was wondering which supercharger would be best for it between 500-600 hp. If I need a supercharger? Thanks

Dude I hate to sound mean but you really need to brush up on your engine terminology a little bit. There's no such thing as a "roller rocker" cam. You're probably referring to a roller cam, which if the '94-'95 5.0 engines have the same internals as the '85-'93 5.0 engines, then your car already has a roller cam. You can upgrade that to a better cam, such as the E303 cam if you have to smog. Roller rockers are what bolt on to your heads that open and close your valves. They will net you a few more horses over stock rockers. If you really want 600 HP, you better spend some money on forged internals or you're going to grenade your engine. See the video section about the guy who blew his Cobra motor on the highway...

the screw type blowers are more efficient than a centrifugal supercharger and there ain't no lag with them either. and yeah you have a lot more to do to get 600 HP. the blower alone won't come close without a good head and cam package with fuel system mods as well to get enough fuel in it too.

Syntrifical Supercharger? Isn't it centrifugual?
Anyways,
both centrifugual and screw/roots blowers have advantages and disadvantages.
Centrifugual supercharges produce sufficient boost to add more than 50% hp/trq gains, yet need to be revved higher because they produce the power higher in the rpm range.
Twin Screw/roots type blowers produce boost at a very low RPM, equaling more torque production. This is why the Eaton and Kenne Bell blowers work so well for 4V and essentially the 03-04 cobras-- why they can easily produce 600+ ft/lbs torque..

You're going to need new heads definately. The stock cam isn't that bad. From what I've heard/seen there are guys running 10s or around there and around 450-600hp+ with the stock cam.
The heads on those particular years are LOUSY. I say get some AFR 185s and stroke it with a forged kit to a 331 then slap on say a Turbo kit from HP performance or someone, do all the mods like MAF CAI, Exhaust (Long tubes back) etc then get it tuned and get a custom burned chip for your set up. I know I didn't go into that great of detail but thats the best way. I'm building a 94-95 5.0 motor now and the biggest limiting factor is the heads.

Hey thanks Ya'll. I was leaning towards the cyntrifical. I know that my car lingo isn't very good but i wasn't able to work on cars as a kid. And know that i'm here at college i have the tools and money to do it. So any help would be appreciated. I have also found a strocker kit for my 302 when it has been bored over 30. Thanks
