The cheapest way to get 300 hp from a stock 5.0 would to add a nitrous kit. However, if you don't want to go with nitrous, my best guess is to get a good set of aluminum heads, a cam, intake, (e.g. Edelbrock has power packages for the 5.0) throttle body, MAF, and exhaust to round it off.. This will put you @ at least 300 hp.

The edelbrock Performer RPM power pack gets you to about 367 I believe with a 9:5:1 C/R

Holley system max has a real good deal for about 2200 dollars and it gives you 350 hp and TFS also has one that gives you 360 and its 2,000 dollars . This is the way i should of went from the start its a no brainer combo and they all match . Should give you 300 to the RWHP . 150 shot nitro kit gets you in the mid 11s maybe even more if you do suspension upgrades .Good luck

im with vfast. the bigger MAf and stock TB well speed up the air flow into the engine air speed on a stock engine is as important as volume and a stock TB is a nough volume, to get you to run with all the guys that have thoose packages, of course you have to do the complete list. THIS IS ONE OF THE CHEAPEST, EASILY UP GRADED DRAG SETUP.
