Default H/C/I questions

my '95 5.0 'vert is basically stock right now exept for a 76mm MAF/CAI and an exhaust (will have 3.73s in the rear soon), and i plan on doing a H/C/I upgrade in the near future. I plan on using an edelbrock RPMII intake and AFR 165 heads. I have two questions:

The first question is, what cam do you recommend for this H/I combo? I dont want to lose any low end torque, thats more important to me than high end HP.

My second question is, will this combo still be a good choice when i eventually stroke my motor to a 347?

i think afr 185s work better with a 347, from what ive read from other people tho.

how will 185s perform on a 5.0? i probably wont stroke it for a while. i guess i could sell the 165s and get 185s when i stroke it.

the 185s wont fit with stock pistons because of the 2" intake valves

185's don't give you as much bottom end torque as the 165's

but they give more higher rpm power.

or at least this is what ive read i guess.

185's are supposedly better for engines running boost.

Look at the RPM or Street heat if you want to keep your low end tq...the RPM2 is similar in rpm range to the Track Heat. You will gain more upper rpm power (assuming you will rev over 6k), but you won't have the bottom end tq.

I've got the E cam. I don't dislike it, but I'd probably have gone w/ the TFS stage 1 instead if I'd done a little more research.

Also, if you go w/ the 165's now and decide you need the 185's when you stroke it, you can easily get $900-1k for used 165's....just a thought.

torque mostly, i figure (and i could be way off) if i get a pretty torquey cam combined with the hp of the afr's and the RPMII i should be sitting pretty good. but thats why i'm asking, i have no clue when it comes to cams/duration/all that stuff. i usually shift by 4500-5K when i'm banging throught he gears, so torque is my priority.
