Default Flowmasters Comin On Friday

My car, a 1994 mustang gt was completly stock when i bought it. I think its supposed to run about 215 horsepower stock but i dont know if its making all of that. I've begun work on it and ordered some flowmasters that are supposed to come on friday. Does anyone have an estimate on how much HP that could add, ive heard between 15 and 30 but i dont know if thats right. Also, what do you think i should do next?

hi, and welcome.

are you getting new H/X pipe also? or just the mufflers?

Companies like to over-estimate the performance gains. new mufflers alone will probably give you 3-5 hp to the wheels, you won't "feel" a differance, When i got my full exhaust (headers, offroad H pipe, and flomasters)I thought i felt a differnce but it could have just been the sound that made me think that.

once again, compains WAY over estimate the performance of their products, they have people thinking that a cold air intake and mufflers will give them 50hp, when in reality it takes a head swap to get 50hp.

i would go for a Cold Air Intake ...

oo an your car is making around 200rwhp if your lucky........

Intake,headers,h-pipe,catback should give you around 15-20Hp maybe . it will move your horsepower thru the powerband higher so good gears would be next upgrade 3.73 .....

Well i got a new exhaust, from the manifold back, not just mufflers but no headers or anything. I didnt know it would only add five hp if im lucky though. At least with a new exhaust there are more options than i had before. I was thinking about getting cylinder heads but i dont know what would be good ones or what wouldnt. It was suggested to me to get the turbo swirl aluminum heads, i dont know if thats a good idea or not. I was also thinking about getting a good set of headers. Would equal length or just unequal shortys be best? One more thing should i get the cold air intake before getting anything else?

CAI doesnt really do anything..more for looks

equal length headers are a PITA so ive heard but u get a couple more hp

and unequal length are easier to install

for the heads, i would go w/ afr 165's

or u can get the trickflow kit H/C/I

you might get 5hp from the muffler..what the car needs is a 2.5" full exhaust upgrade

with full exhaust you may see a little more power, i know the fox's have 4 cats not sure about sn95s and that robs power.

anyway here is a link to some trickflow heads

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...egory=MMUSTANG

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...=KeywordSearch

like mentioned above, if you want serious power, go heads cam intake (H/C/I), or supercharger, or even turbo($$)
