is there anything inside a resonator, or is it just straight through?

I have the same catback system with an offroad h pipe but how can they weld in the straight through resonators into a system that has offset mufflers such as the flowmasters???? can it really be done because i want to buy the resonators and do away with the flows. Any info is greatly appreciated. It would be sick to be able to put them on my system now for only $154 from slp rather than their whole kit for $400 Thanks

They basically just use baffles in the piping instead of the chambers like mufflers have....
