Default new gears...new question

hey all just put in my 3.73's in my 94 gt, took off the old 3.08, first didnt seem much of a diff but 2nd and 3rd holy ****... what a pull!! so happy about that, the only thing my speedometer is off by 20 km/h? do i have to change the gear for that with the 3.73's?

I was thinking the same thing. I lost the use of first gear when I put 3.55s in.

not really, i mean it went up faster then the 3.08 but nuttin really crazy like 2nd and 3rd...

u can come out of the hole so much better now, its a huge difference... if u want to use an 8 tooth gear (you might be able to change the tranny tho, idk) i think the correct one for you is the the white 23 tooth. It's good for 3.55, 3.73 and 4.10 b/c there is no proper gear for > 3.55s

its called a speedo gear, many mustang sites sell them.

gear

you might wanna see if u can get a more accurate one though, because that will still be off slightly with your gear.

well, my tech put mine in for me, but i think it goes right in the tranny, shouldnt have to take anything apart.
