Default Mac Exhaust

My brother had Mac exhaust on his '94 GT and it sounded Sooooooo SWEEEEEEEEET, It had a "hollow tinny" sound to it. He had a 3" prochamber and 3.5" cat back.

My question is, Will I have that same "hollow tinny"sound with a 2.5" prochamber and 3" or 3.5" catback on my 1990 5.0 LX?

Thanks

stay w/ 2 1/2" all the way

bigger will kill your torque , until you have 400 hp, you need no bigger

but yes, i have all MAC on my car and sounds great........1 5/8" long tubes, 2 1/2" prochamber, 2 1/2" catback

MAC is not crappy quality at all i have them and they hold up to everything my suspention is so bad that i bottom out and everything and i have yet to put a dent in it or anything very easy to adjust to fit right MAC exhaust is great the only thing from them i wouldnt recomend are their headers

Well I'll say this about MAC, Erick in the V6 forum aka http://www.autobadges.com/, had MAC headers on his sixer, and they totally rusted out on him, so personally I wouldn't go with their exhaust systems, all of their other stuff is really good quality. Now as far as exhaust goes Borla, Magnaflow, and Bassini are about the highest quality brands out there with each offering thier own hp gains (all about the same though, give or take one or two hp), sound tones, and sound control.

I have had my MAC headers on TWO different cars (my hatch and my vert) for about a year and a half now and they still looke brand new. It's a hit or a miss with MAC stuff but majority of the time it's good stuff.

I'm kind of torn between Borla, Flowmaster and Magnaflow...Which has the best sound? I realize that this is kind of personal preference but if anybody has sound clips I'd appreciate it

ever see a system rust out in 2 months? I have. Ever see their strut tower brace not line up? I have. Ever see their long tube headers hit frame rails? I have
