first of all when the car is at idle, the rpm is at 500-600..and from looking at the stick i can just tell that the car running rough.it usually idle at 900-1000. now when i am in any gear and accelerate the car shakes a whole lot and lacks power, only when i try to gain speed that the car shakes.the car is a 1993 lx 5.0L HO. the car started to do this crap all of a sudden.. i changed the plugs and air filter, and cleaned out t/b and maf, but nothing changed I NEED HELP oh yea when i changed the plugs one of them were black

you didnt brake one did you? a spark plug. my brothers s-10 had all kind of problems, replaced injectors and all kinds of ****, but it ended up being a broke plug! never hurts to check

no i just put new plugs in ......it might be the wired tho

Check all the plugs, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, make sure you're getting spark.

good chance it is the wires. you can check them with a VOM for resistance and replace any that are too high relative to the others. use should also use a dab of silicon dielectic grease on the boots on both the plug and distributor ends to seal out moisture and make the wire easier to remove the next time. wires are fragile and pulling and jerking on them can break them down internally and the only way to check them is with a meter.

or you just blew a head gasket, my car did what you described when cylinder 7&8 blew through the gasket.... i wasnt gettting correct combustion because those cylinders were just pushing coolant and gas back and forth, a really bad misfire...check it out...

Check the fan clutch, i know it sounds wiered, but one day iw as driving good and all, stopped got something to eatgot back in and started driving and my car seemed to be running extremely ****ty. it woudl shake and make a bunch of noise only at like 2000 rpm, i didnt know what was up. i would have to shift right as i hit 2000 rpm or my cars noise would defen u. and on the high way i was shaken so bad and wasnt going over 55. I replaced this after i noticed how loose it was, and WA-LAH, just like new sorta lol. this definetly fixed the prblem, also acounted for the reason why my water pumps were going out cause of the vibrations it caused. hit me back if this solves ur proble,, if it does its like 20 bucks to fix not that bad at all.
