Default Pilot bearing removal

I was working on my car today and I was removing the pilot bearing. The bearing came out but the bushing did not. I cannot get the bushing out, I have a pilot bearing puller and a slide hammer but no matter what I do it just takes chips of metal out of it. Anyone know how to get it out? Has this happened to any of you? I really need help on this. Thanks.

That happened to me. I ended up having to chisel it out.

you can rotate the puller inside the bearing. it has notches cut out for the puller. i had the same problem and if you look at the new bearing you can figure it out.
