Default Need opinions on caliper color & wheels!

Hey everyone, I'm converting to a cobra R 4 wheel disk, 5 lug brake kit and I need help picking the color of the new calipers, and what kind/color of wheels I should get. I know every1 has cobra R's, but I'm leaning towards those atm unless someone can think of a better looking wheel for as cheap. My budget is pretty tight, atm, and I want something in either 17in or 18... I'll put 18 on the back and 17 up front if anyone suggests that.

Here are some pics of what you're working with. Thanks all!

03 cobra's would look good on there, along with red cobra calipers

YOu can never go wrong with red calipers. As far as wheels go, get whatever you like the best. IMO any of the Mustang wheels (specifically made for it) look beter than anything on the market. BTW Nice car.

paint calipers close to body color, or red, remove ugly wood shifter and matching wood panel. If you want your car to be fast, leave the big *** wheels for someone else, and get some drag lites.

I agree with tapout in that you should try to match the color of the car on the calipers. I have a red 94 GT and I can't wait to buy the red calipers to match the body

You guys think red calipers would look good on the green car?! It seems to me like it's too much color clashing. I thought about the fr 500's, but aren't they a wee bit pricey??
About the drag lites- I'm gonna be turning my car into a road racer eventually (the maximum motorsports videos convinced me), so high profile tires wouldn't work well for that.

Any wheel/tire combos with some decent traction you guys can think of for under a grand? The brakes took a good chunk out of my pocket.

anyone else have any ideas? I might try the calipers the same color green as the car, but what other colors?

What about a powder coat black for the calipers? Does anyone think I can get away with some decent wheels and tires (like 245's) for under 1k?

its gonna be usless painting your calipers. the 16 " ponies cover the whole rotor, i say paint them a nice silver... its your best bet on a blue car, red looks good on many colors but in my opinion not on aqua or blue of any kind. silver would make it nice and clean just like the color of your car... dont do it blue, to ricey...
