Default need a pic of your clutch cable

I have a problem with a VERY HARD clutch pedal...when I bought the car saturday the guy said he had just put in a new clutch, new flywheel and clutch cable, and after he got it home the pedal got real hard..

well if I put the pedal to the floor (very hard) the clutch engages properly and u can shift no problem however the big problem is the clutch pedal is HARD!!!

I am wondering if thie guy installed the clutch cable wrong or routed it wrong...

can u guys do me a favore and take a picture of how the clutch cable should look under the hood so I can see if maybe this one is run wrong.. I really need to figure this out

it's almost impossible to run it wrong.

it can however touch the header, and melt it.

as long as it's not kinked, it's working good, what clutch and PP ?? did he say ?

Check the quadrant. Ours was really hard and it broke the cabel. Once we put a new one in it was softer. The cable broke on top of the quadrant.

He probably just has the cable too tight.

my last stang had the wrong throwout bearing put in and the edges dug into the pressure plate. replaced with the right one and did not have any more problems.

The quadrant is 1/4th or a circle that is under the dash. Its right beisde the gas pedal. If its stock then it should be white plastic. If its aftermarket its billet aluminum.

how does the quadrant cause the pedal to be hard?

is the quadrant connected to something?
