Default shifter

I am planning on changing my shifter but i dont know wut iz a good brand to use and wut kind. shuld i use a short throw? people tell me that hurst is one of the best shifters because u can adjust the tension on it. can u giv me some advice on which shifter i should go with on my 89' 5.0 hatch?

I have the hurt, yes you can adjust the "tension" but it recommends leaving that adjustment alone unless you need to adjust it. All its really for it to bring the shifter back into neutral and keeping it there
its a decent shifter though

I'm running Hurst, too. I like it and have had no problems. I've heard MGW is a great one too.

My first hurst shifter (billet) broke on me when I was racing, the ball and the threads just snapped right off as I nailed 2nd. Got a replacement havent had any problems since.
