Default rear main seal

the motor doesnt have to come out when you remove the rear main seal in a 89 mustang gt right? im plannin on doing it this saturday so i need to know now. i think there is about a half an inch between the oil pan and the k-member so i think that i can pry it out with a few sheetmetal screws in the seal. Does anyone know how hard the front seal is to remove?

front seal will be easier than the rear one. But you will have to remove the accessories to do it right. You could probably try to remove with w/a screwdriver, but you might damage something that way. Best thing to do is to remove the timing chain cover and replace the seal that way.
