speed density to mass air

Default speed density to mass air

hi, has any one done a speed density to mass air flow sensor on their early fuel inj. 5.0 . i have an 86 gt convert and have heard of this being done. what are some of the advantages if any and is it hard to do. the car is bone stock from california and is in the process of being redone little by little.thanks for the help[sm=gears.gif]

there's different ones for manual and auto trannys, so if you get one make sure you get the right one

I did it on my 86 and fox on the prowl is right, if you're looking to go with mods, mass air is almost the first thing you'll need to do. Ford Motorsport is the most popular, and most expensive kit, but you can find the exact same componebnts on e-bay, with a refurbished MAF for about $350.

It's a little more complicated to install, but worth the savings, in my opinion.
