Installed Fuel Pump... WOW =)

RE: Installed Fuel Pump... WOW =)
i installed a walbro 255lph high pressure pump. it was a performance increase, for me, considering how it ran before. it just feels MUCH quicker and responsive. i thought the filler neck was a breeze. the hardest part was getting the band back around the tank. i examined the old pump and it rattled when i shook it, so im thinking maybe it had a bad bearing. now i notice when i take off the gas cap, the pressure is released and its really loud, it takes about 7-10 seconds. is this normal for a high pressure pump?

sounds like you need a new gas cap to vent tank correctly

...great to read the problem is taken care of. The pressure build up is ok but, you need to check that the CANister Purge (CANP) solenoid is connected to the evap canister, and the vent line from the tank is not pinched....my
